His sister dropped him off at the MTC (Missionary Training Center) at 12:45pm today. He jumped out of the car, grabbed his stuff, gave her a quick hug, and walked on to this next step in his life. He's SO BRAVE. He did it. He's now Elder Guthrie (or Anziano Guthrie once he's in Italy) for the next two years, and he's gonna rock it. Pray for him to have strength and faith and fortitude during this huge sacrifice he's embarking on!

We'll keep his addresses up to date in the righthand sidebar. He'll be at the MTC till the end of June, so write to him there for now. These six weeks in the MTC are the only time he can receive packages, too; once he's in Italy he can only get letters, as far as we know. So if you want to send cookies, send them now!
You can always utilize dearelder.com to send letters for free that will get to him same-day (if sent before noon MST). As soon as we know more info about that, it will be posted in the sidebar, too!
