New Companion!

Alright everybody. So we're having fun here in Brescia with my new companion Anz. Schwiermann. He's from St. George, Utah, solid soccer player, solid kid in general. It's going to be a great last two transfers with him and I'm pumped for it. He also can cook super well.

Well his second day in the mission, we went to teach Andrea and as always, the lesson was incredible because Andrea understands everything so quickly. No surprise there. We had lots of fun with all the friends there.

Then on Sunday night we went to another family's home, well the pastry shop they own. They are Ecuadorean and just really cool people in general. One is a recent convert and one in recently reactivated. They're just really incredible people with a really incredible story.

So random story. We were out doing some finding work around these parks and there was this group of probably 8 kids who couldn't have been older than 10. And they were going around this small area of parks setting off fireworks. It freaked me out the first few times, random explosions in the middle of the day. Yeah, fun stuff.

Oh and then we got yelled at randomly by this guy right outside our house. He was explaining to me how our church and religions in general just brainwash people and cause chaos and other various things explained with colorful words. It's been a while since I've been randomly yelled at, so it was pretty exciting.

Well I've still been watching through all the Bible videos from the Church, and I recently watched Christ in Gethsemane. That's a powerful video and part of Christ's life. It's incredible His love and patience immediately following His suffering in Gethsemane. Judas approaches with those who will arrest Christ. As they start figuring out which one Jesus is, before the arrest Him, one of His disciples cuts off the ear of one of the guards. Immediately Christ heals him. He just suffered for all of mankind's sins, all their trials, sicknesses, pains, tribulations, everything. He felt it all. He knows what is about to happen, that He will soon suffer physical death so that He may bring to pass the resurrection. Through it all, He constantly had us in mind. Regardless of the situation in which He found Himself, He always understood that He was our Savior and that He had to do the Father's will, undergo all thrown His way, so that we may find our way home. Christ is in fact the ultimate example of love. He underwent it all for us, so that we don't have to do this alone. We never are alone nor need feel alone, because we never are. Christ is always by our side, even if we don't feel Him there. He is always there. He always has been, even if we didn't recognize Him. He always will be.
